Forge Lab

The Next Epoch of Tech

Bronze was a challenging material to produce in the Stone Age. Most humans had little understanding that certain rocks could be melted and transformed into tools. Yet, with the right ratio of tin and copper, they discovered a metal harder than pure iron and more resistant to corrosion than stainless steel.

The Stone Age gave way to the Bronze Age, but ultimately, bronze was surpassed by iron. Why? Despite its strength and durability, iron is softer, corrodes more easily, and lacks the beauty of bronze. Over time, iron became the metal of the world’s aspiring leaders—those with the knowledge to create, but not necessarily the resources to form elegant society.

The internet has revolutionized communication in much the same way bronze revolutionized tool-making. Forge Lab's mission is to transition global communications technology from the "Bronze Age" of Big Tech to the "Iron Age" of accessible, open-source platforms and public-benefit resources.
